Throughout their lives, the entrepreneurial couple have been committed to their values of "commitment, responsibility and meaning" - both professionally and privately. With enthusiasm, untiring commitment and support from his wife Rhéane, Felix Suhner has built up the small hotel group over the last few years. After 20 years in the operations, the graduate hotelier and trained chef decided to shift his tasks to the development of the hotel group. Together with his wife and the team of the Balance Familie, additional values for guests and hotels are created true to the vision of "living the good". Their passion is hotel architecture and the design of wellness oases. In their spare time, they find ideas for new concepts together with their two children at international trade fairs and in the hottest hotels at home and abroad.
Our values determine our actions and guide us in our everyday lives. Our values commit us to accepting our responsibility and direct our daily work clearly and unambiguously. Our values say what we stand for, what we represent and how we want to be perceived. Whatever we do, we do it focused on our three core values - committed, responsible, meaningful.
Our maxims show us how we should behave - and work - in everyday life. Our brand, our identity is experienced and perceived primarily in direct contact with people. This creates an image in the other person; an idea of what the Balance Familie is and embodies. That is why we have formulated binding guiding principles for our behaviour, which consist of three supporting pillars: Yes-philosophy (committed), clear leadership (responsible) and harmony (meaningful).
1862 Johann Siegrist receives permission to run a Pintwirtschaft.
1880 Already in 1880 the name "zur Seerose" appears for the first time.
1902 The owners of the farm/pension changed often and the business grew into a restaurant.
1971 At Whitsunday, on 23 May 1971 the Seerose burned down to the foundation walls.
1975 Walter Suhner senior buys the property of the Seerose.
1976 The Seerose is rebuilt bigger and more beautiful as before.
1977 Walter Suhner Senior opens the Hotel Seerose Classic on 17 May 1977.
1977-1982 Priska Suhner manages the Seerose together with Kurt Imhof.
1994 The Seerose goes into the second generation, son Felix Suhner runs the company.
1997 When Walter Suhner Senior passes away in 1997, Felix Suhner takes over as Chairman of the Board.
1998 On 24 December 1998 the Seerose suffered its second fire.
1999 On 17 May 1999 the Hotel Seerose was renovated and reopened.
2003 On 17 May 2003, the extension of the Seerose Elements building is opened.
2011 On 6 October 2011 the spade will be set for the extension of the Seerose Cocon building.
2011-2014 Redesign of the hotel rooms, the Restaurant Seerose and the Seerose Bar & Lounge in the style of Natural chic.
2012 The Balance Hotels are founded as a privately run family hotel group owned by the Suhner family.
2013 On 17 May 2013 the extension building Cocon is opened - the Hotel Seerose is transformed into Seerose Resort & Spa.
2014 On November 1, 2014, Felix Suhner hands over the operational management to Tina Halbeisen after 20 years of management.
