Loi Krathong is the festival of lights celebrated nationwide in Thailand on the day of the full moon in the twelfth month of the traditional Thai lunisolar calendar. It usually falls in November. Loi means swimming or hovering, Krathong is a small raft typically made from part of the stalk of the banana plant.
