Lake Hallwil
The Lake Hallwil with its beautiful turquoise shimmering water is a very popular destination in the Seetal region. The shore landscape around the lake is largely undeveloped and the approx. 22 km long lake circuit hiking trail leads right through the shore landscapes and is easy to walk on. Always again, one passes villages and piers where one can change trains or stop for refreshments. By the way: the pile dwellings Ehrlenhölzli originate from the Neolithic and Bronze Age and are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hallwyl Castle
Hallwyl Castle is one of the most beautiful moated castles in Switzerland. It is washed by the Aabach river and is only accessible via a drawbridge. From the romantic moated castle it is just a jump into the unique nature reserve on Lake Hallwil. A varied programme of events and activities awaits visitors during the season from the end of March to the end of October.
Celebrating on the lake
A restaurant floats on the Hallwilersee: among others also the "MS Seerose". For evening cruises, aperitifs, dinners, celebrations, weddings. The competent service of the Seerosey crew provides on the ships of the Hallwilersee for culinary pleasures - the jetty Seerosey is only few steps away from the hotel. Catering on Hallwyl Castle
Hallwyl Castle is one of the most beautiful and romantic moated castles in Switzerland. It lies on the edge of a nature reserve on Lake Hallwyl. The combination of culture and nature offers opportunities for special events and occasions in a unique ambience.
The competent service of the Seerose crew also provides culinary delights at Hallwyl Castle and the adjoining castle barn. The events are possible during museum hours and, if desired, outside normal opening hours. Please send your reservation request to the following address:
